Electoral concessions can be obtained:Night curfew in four metros of the state may be phased out after January 31, Home Minister hints

The committee chaired by the CM will decide: Minister of State for Home Affairs

The state is currently under the control of Korona. However, the night curfew is still in place in four major cities of the state, namely Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat. The night curfew will remain in effect until January 31. This will be decided later. In this regard, Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja today said that night curfew in Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Vadodara will be considered. The decision will be taken after phased consideration. Currently the transition to corona has decreased in the state and these four cities. On the other hand, local government elections are approaching. So now the phased night curfew can be relaxed after January 31st.

Regarding night curfew, Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja said that night curfew will be considered in 4 metros. The decision will be taken by a committee chaired by the CM. It may be mentioned that at present, night curfew is applicable in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara cities of the state from 10 pm to 6 am.

. Corona cases have decreased in the state. Schools, on the other hand, are also slowly starting to take off. In addition, the government may decide to lift the curfew in the first week of February as local body elections have been declared. Sources also said that if the curfew is not lifted in full, there is a possibility of further relaxation due to the elections. So that political meetings and small events can be held at night. As well as stopping police harassment at night, it has a good effect on the election. Apart from this, electoral concessions can also be given in some other matters.

The night curfew had a major impact on business and employment
, with entertainment, hotels and some businesses suffering huge losses. Earlier these places were discharged, but when re-closed they were going at a loss. There was a peak season for all these businesses during the New Year celebrations, but they were closed. The curfew time was started from 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. so that they no longer have to bear the loss.

On November 23, night curfew was imposed in three other cities Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot along with continuous curfew in Ahmedabad. As a precautionary measure, a 57-hour curfew was imposed in Ahmedabad, especially during the Saturday-Sunday holidays, to keep the crowds out of control.
